Spectacular New Year in Tokyo Disneyland
My family and I together with my sister, Mom and Dad decided to celebrate the first day of the year, 2013, in Tokyo Disneyland. Actually, we were planning to come here last December as an extension of my son's birthday, however, due to conflict of schedule with my husband's work, we moved it to January.
We drove one and a half hour through the expressway and paid two toll fees amounting to almost 2,000 yen coming from Chiba-ken. Some travelers may be frugal about paying fees, but I think it wouldn't be wise to do so, especially if you're traveling on a long road. Getting there at the earliest possible time would be more favorable.
When we arrived, an hour earlier before the opening schedule, I was surprised by the number of people that came to visit the park since, it was winter. The resort was practically full-packed! Propitiously for us, buying tickets was not a bother at all because most of the visitors have bought their tickets ahead of time. I have observed that we were the only ones who bought tickets that day. Lucky for us!
At the entrance alone, you will see the faces of excitement and thrill from all sorts of ages, and races. And when you are inside, you will be amazed by the resort's grandiose artistry. The place was extensively spacious, vibrant and full of vigor. I reckoned, these are the reasons why Tokyo Disneyland is the third most visited theme park in the world.

The first picture in the upper left is the entrance to the parking area of the resort. If you are travelling by car, the theme park requires 2,000 yen parking fee. The upper right picture is the Tokyo monorail train that circles the resort, providing transportation between JR Mahaima Station and all the facilites in the park. After paying at the cashier, you'll be given a map of the resort, you can ask for an English guide if you want. The fourth picture on the bottom left is the floral arrangement of Mickey Mouse. Since this is the year of the water snake, according to the chinese horoscope, purple, green and blue are the colors in harmony with this year.
